Three cafes, an impressive aqueduct and beautiful views of Bath.
I’ve ridden around Bath lots of times but this took me to lanes I haven’t been to before so felt like I’d done something new. A really well organised and friendly event with wonderful sunshine – and a finishers badge!
Canal paths and climbs
This was my first ever Audax and I really enjoyed the ride. Although I know the Bristol to Bath Cycle path really well, I had only been on the Two Tunnels Way once before and I had never cycled on the hilly section from Wellow to the canal or cycled up Claverton Hill before. Glad I chose my more robust winter bike with mudguards as some of the sections next to the canal were muddy. We stopped at the Angelfish cafe for lunch which was a good place to stop – so good that we stayed a little too long and got back to Warmley a few minutes late!
Well Organised
Thank you Ollie for running the event. Not being a local or a GPX user ( too old to understand) on occasions I had to rely on the good auspices of fellow riders to stay on the correct route. However it was a fantastic day, great views , wonderful cafes and as I said very well organised
Thank you for organising the ride on Saturday. It was a great route and great to do some different roads and lanes that we hadn’t ridden before. Great views.
